There is a longtime that I wanted a backrest on my bike. I had three reasons for this. First of all for my comfort, then on a useful point for my passenger (Telephone and highways tickets) and at last for the general look. |

I had two imperatives. I wanted no side arm hardware (For the comfort of the passenger) and didn't want a 'big' model. That's why I choosed Add-On model wich is more 'rounded' (Just like passenger backrest) and that I didn' choose Utopia model wich is to much 'squared' for me. (This is just my point of view) I know that I had to cut the seat, but.... I made this page as so as to help those who don't dare to do that. Ah! Important point. I have a heater seat Goldwing.
STEP 1 You have to take off your seat and to disconnet heating system (If you have one)
STEP 2 You dismount the support of the backrest and you place the inferior part under the seat as so as STEP 3 This is the most dramatic step. You have to cut the seat with a cutter!!
So this is 'H' hour. Close your eyes and let go!! STEP 4 So now you push the superior part of the support into the seat as so as to reach the two holes you drilled before. You have two screw the two parts together and... it's done!! RESULT Beautiful!!! That's what I wanted!
