Bidouilles On My Wing
SADDLEBAGS LIGHTS

In France, lights on the saddlebags do no exist. That's why we have to do something if we want to go from this....

...to that (It's better isn't it?)

Before explaining how i proceeded I have to say that there is another way to take 12V by the lights of the trunk. I choosed for myself going by saddlebags because I wanted to join the wiring under the seating. I though it was easy to work and I also wanted to create a new electrical line for my front and lateral lights.

THE MATERIAL
Componants are, electrical quic connects Faston (Bad thing, there will be soon replaced by Hitachi connectors (See there ) and cable pass. Concerning casings, going to E-Bay and buying a rear wiring of a 1100 GSXR. Without forgetting an almost essential tool, a DREMEL .

OPERATING
(Step 1)

After having dismounted saddlebags lights, you have to determine the place of casing behing the lights . Once the shapes are written, you have to cut lights with the Dremel. (Meticulous work)

(Step 2)

Dismount the saddle as well as the interior mask (the top) of the saddlebags. Drill the top of the saddlebag (under the saddle - See the pics) and put the pass-cable for the sealing. Make pass the cable since the opening of the rear light to this hole while circulating by the “ceiling” of the saddlebag.

(Step 3)

Under the saddle, recover the harness which goes to the rear(See pic). Giving off the wire night light and stop light (Green and Maroon) and hop! This is done!
